On a recent episode of SNL there was a skit featuring Timothee Chalanet instructing a workout class. This wasn't the normal yoga, pilates, or spin class. This was a bungee fitness class that seemed totally made up and hilarious. It turns out that it is a real workout, and there is a new location in Evansville offering classes!

Fly to Fit Brings Bungee Fitness to Evansville

Evansville’s fitness scene just got a major upgrade with the opening of Fly to Fit Bungee Fitness, the first local franchise of this high-energy, low-impact workout. Owned and operated by Melanie Futrell, this new studio is located at 6219 Vogel Road and is ready to get Evansville bouncing!

What Is Bungee Fitness?

Bungee fitness is a motion-based, resistance training program that makes exercise feel more like play. Here’s why you’ll love it:

  • Low-impact, high-intensity – The bungee cord and harness provide just the right amount of buoyancy, so you can jump, lunge, and squat without stressing your joints.
  • Full-body workout – It combines strength training and cardio, giving you an efficient, fun way to break a sweat.
  • For all fitness levels – Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just getting back into movement, everyone is welcome!

Why You Need to Try It

Think of bungee fitness as trampoline meets aerial yoga—you’ll feel weightless, work your muscles in new ways, and have a blast doing it. Plus, it's Instagram-worthy! I'm pretty sure the class does not end with cake, and I'm certain that you burn more than one calorie per class.

Here is the full skit from SNL. Keep in mind this airs late on Saturday nights, so it's not really for the kiddos.
