Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears appear to be working on their mother-daughter relationship.

Following years of tension due to the pop star's former conservatorship, Lynne reportedly visited Britney at her home on May 24, where the two women reconnected.

Britney seemed enthusiastic about their meeting, even writing about it on Instagram alongside a throwback photo of her as a little girl.

"My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after [three] years ... it’s been such a long time," Britney shared.

"With family there’s always things that need to be worked out ... but time heals all wounds! And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT! Love you so much!" the music icon continued.

Britney added that she felt "blessed" she and her mother could "have coffee together after 14 years," and suggested they go shopping soon as well.

In 2022, Lynne issued a public plea for her daughter to address their relationship. She also apologized and shared how much she missed her daughter.

"I'm sooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you!" Lynne commented on one of Britney's Instagram posts, asking her daughter to unblock her so she could "speak to [her] in person."

"Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that's hurt you!" she continued.

"My family to this day honestly have no conscious whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all ... They could at least take responsibility for their actions and actually own up to the fact they hurt me," Britney had written on Instagram.
