So far this morning, I'm kicking for not covering my grill and my dog is all stressed out because it's raining bucket-fulls out there - complete with thunder and lightening. But, it could get even worse today. According to The National Weather Service:

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the region today, with the best chances across southeast Missouri, far west Kentucky and southwest Illinois. Damaging winds are the main concern, with a few tornadoes possible.

At 430 AM, numerous strong thunderstorms were observed across the region. The strongest activity was along and west of Interstate 57, south along the Mississippi River and back into southeast Missouri. Movement of the storms was northeast 50 to 60 mph. Through daybreak, the storms will continue, some capable of hail up to dime size and wind gusts 45 to 55 mph.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for all of southeast Missouri, and portions of southern Illinois and far western Kentucky until 900 AM.
