Iconic Evansville Burger Joint Seeking Community Input on Expansion

I have a confession...I have never eaten at the iconic Big Top Drive-In. I know, I can hear the roasting of Liberty right now. In my defense, sort of Big Top is not on my side of Evansville.

Big Top Drive-In has been a staple for the Westsiders in Evansville for around 77 years. And I'm so happy to share the exciting news about a possible expansion, as opposed to all of the business closings we keep hearing about.

Food Truck, Eastland Mall, or Eastside Location?

According to the post on social media, the owners of Big Top Drive-In are seriously considering opening another location. They did stress to their Westside loyals that this would be in addition to, not replacing the original spot. So, the big question for Big Top is where to add another restaurant. Location is everything these days, so they put up a poll on Facebook.

The options are to either open up a location inside Eastland Mall on Green River Road, which is only getting a handful of votes. They are also considering a stand-alone style restaurant somewhere on the East side. That is almost at a tie with starting up a Bip Top Drive-In food truck.
