When and Where to Catch the Circus
The Indiana State Fair runs from August 1-17 (remember it’s closed on Mondays), and promises even more magic this year as the classic circus comes to life right in the heart of the fairgrounds. Tucked inside a real circus tent, you’ll find everything from fearless acrobats and soaring aerialists to wacky clowns and high-flying daredevils – and all of it is FREE with your fair admission!
Show-Stopping Acts You’ll Never Forget
One of the biggest highlights of the Big Top Circus is the legendary Human Cannonball, Brian Miser. He’s a Guinness World Record holder who thrills crowds everywhere he goes with his explosive aerial stunts.

And I promise you won’t want to miss the X-Metal Riders as they get their motorcycles spinning at dizzying speeds inside the infamous Globe of Death. All of it led by Ian Garden Jr., a third-generation circus ringmaster with a legacy of entertaining audiences across the nation.
You can catch the Big Top Circus each day of the fair at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m., along with plenty of themed activities and photo ops in the Big Top Zone.
