Back in the Nineties, we had this weird obsession with swing. Movies like The Mask, Swing Kids, Swingers, and even A League of Their Own were hot and heavy on the zoot suits and smooth moves. It was a renaissance of couples dancing and fun flirtatious music and no one did it better than Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
Originally formed in California in the late 1980's the band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was catapulted to success with the swing revival. According to Wikipedia, "The band launched two CDs, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Watchu' Want for Christmas? under their own label (Big Bad Records) before getting their big break when their songs "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)", "I Wan'na Be Like You" and "Go Daddy-O" were featured in the soundtrack of the 1996 comedy-drama Swingers."
To date, their music has been featured in multiple TV shows and movies, and the band has played at notable specials and events including the Super Bowl XXXIII halftime show in 1999.

The band still tours and made a stop in Evansville this week where our own Nick Durcholz from Farthington Fauxtoe was there to capture some phenomenal photos.
