The basketball teams at South Spencer and Evansville Central High School, showed everyone what true sportsmanship is all about. It's not about winning or losing, it's about giving a special teammate that one shot. AND, what a shot it was at the buzzer! Check out this viral moment.

South Spencer in Rockport, Indiana may have defeated Evansvile Central High School 53-52 on Friday, February 28th, 2020, but there's so much more to the story. The basketball coach from Evansville Central High School took to Facebook to share his teams inspirational moment.

"A COACHES TAKE ON LAST NIGHT: Our manager, Evan “EJ” Johnson, suiting up to live out a dream. I just wanted to get him in and get him a shot. That’s all. Our guys came out in the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd and laid an egg. Fought back in the 4th to bring the game to four with under 25 seconds. MY GUYS made a community decision to sacrifice a chance to win just to get EJ his ‘shot’ to play. We lost 52-53, but I give an immense amount of credit to the young man from South Spencer & to ALL our guys. WHAT A WAY TO FINISH THE YEAR. The last shot we took, went in. If only you knew how far this guy has come."

Coach Kevin called a timeout as time was winding down on the clock to talk to the team. As players they had a very important decision. Keep fighting with a chance to defeat South Spencer. Or, sacrifice the win and allow a special member of the team to get his shot to play and score. What happened next was beautiful.

Lets also give a round of applause to Cale Donoho of South Spencer, who got the rebound and passed it to EJ for the assist! And, the score at the BUZZER.

Congrats to both WINNING teams on a job well done. Coaches not only teaching the game of basketball, but the game of life. These players are being molded into fine young men. Wow. Just Wow.
