The folks at the United Methodist Youth Home kinda like to think of their organization as one of Evansville's best kept secrets. The UMYH has been helping at-risk youth become responsible and productive members of the community for over 40 years! They serve teens in need of guidance, compassion, shelter, and other essential support.

We asked Travis Johnson, their Director of Development, to Be MY Guest this week on the MY Morning Show. He gave us a better idea of the things they are doing to make such an important difference in these young people's lives. Travis talks about the UMYH's three core programs...Truancy Intervention, Day Education, and Residential Services.

Travis also tells us about the steps being taken to keep the youth and the staff safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. The programs that are on hold for the time being, and the services that are still being offered on a daily basis. Please take a few minutes to listen to our conversation.

You gotta think that they're doing a whole bunch of good things at the youth home in order to stick around for over four decades, right? Visit the United Methodist Youth Home online to learn even more about this life-changing organization.
