Albion Fellows Bacon Center’s Commitment to Survivors Continues With Community Backing
The Albion Fellows Bacon Center is overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible outpouring of support from the Evansville community following a recent fire incident at their shelter.
The fire, while contained thanks to a recently installed sprinkler system, did cause damage and necessitate temporary closure of the shelter. However, it remains dedicated to its mission of empowering survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.
"We are deeply moved by the concern and assistance we've received during this challenging time. The Evansville community's support has been truly heartwarming."
Sprinkler System Minimizes Damage
The quick response of the newly installed sprinkler system, made possible by generous donations from the Westside Nut Club, the City of Evansville Endowment Fund, and The Brave Heart Foundation, played a critical role in containing the fire.
"We are incredibly thankful for their foresight and investment in our safety."
