In an effort to eliminate stereotypes and to give participants a glimpse at what millions of Americans face each day, the Albion Fellows Bacon Center is hosting the Community Action Poverty Simulation CAPS).

The simulation takes place on Wednesday, January 30th from 1pm-4pm in the Walnute Room at the Old National Events Plaza.

Participants will be grouped into 'family' units and then given a set of circumstances while still trying to provide food, shelter and other essentials by accessing various community resources.  The simulation includes four 15-minute “weeks,” as well as a debriefing where participants and volunteers will be encouraged to share their observations and insights from the activity.

Spots in the simulation are limited and participants need to pre-register.
