You Oughta Know Who is Headlining the Illinois State Fair

Summer concert season is upon us, and it is great to feel like we can get out and enjoy shows. I love our county fairs, and we have been fortunate to have some great talent play in our area. But the state fairs are on a whole other level.

Illinois State Fair 

The Illinois State Fair isn't until August, but if you want to see some amazing concerts, you need to start planning now. The state fair is held in Springfield, IL which is about 4 hours away from Evansville, IN.

Headlining the 2023 Illinois State Fair - Alanis Morissette

I was literally just listening to 'Jagged Little Pill' over the weekend, and it brought me right back to the 90s. It also reminded me of the uncensored versions of her songs - Wow!

The concert is Sunday, August 13, 2023, 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $85 and that does not include admission to the fair. Tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster, and they go on sale Friday, May 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

Paving the Way for Women

"Jagged Little Pill" is widely regarded as one of the best albums from the 1990s. It earned Alanis Morissette five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, making her the youngest artist to win that category at the time. The album's success also contributed to the popularity of female singer-songwriters in the music industry.
