Madison, IN Welcomes John Schneider And His Love For Local Shops

We know how important it is to shop local and support our small businesses. A celebrity that is new to the Hoosier state is setting a great example of supporting local.

Madison, Indiana, is known for its historic downtown area, Victorian architecture, friendly community, and how it's the best small town in the Midwest. However, for John Schneider, choosing to move to Indiana had more to do with his heart and a new passion for life with his wife, Dee Dee Sorvino.

Actor John Schneider is best known for his roles as Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, and Jonathan Kent in Smallville. Schneider is now a Hoosier, and he has chosen the best small town in the Midwest as his new home. Madison, Indiana, is full of history and a vibrant restaurant scene.

Supporting Locally Owned Businesses

John Schneider and his wife Dee Dee did a little shopping in Madison recently. They stopped in Bear's Furniture Gallery. This is a family-owned shop that has been in business since 1962.

Supporting Local Restaurants

During their shopping trip, the adorable couple took a break at Diego‘s Mexican Grill, which is literally around the corner from Bear's Furniture. This is another family-owned business that has been open since 2015. Here's what John had to say about them on Facebook:

"Did a little furniture shopping today at “Bear’s Furniture,” which is locally on and has been here for decades.

So it only made sense to go right next door to this amazing, locally owned, fantastic Mexican restaurant! (the only locally owned Mexican Restaurant) When you’re in Madison and you venture up on top of the hill, tell everyone at Diego‘s Mexican Grill that John and Dee Dee said Ola!"
