Today, January 4th is National Spaghetti Day!  Who doesn't love a big pile of spaghetti covered with sauce and meatballs sprinkled with some parmesan or romano cheese?

Having a mom who's Italian, I grew up eating spaghetti most of my life and still love it today!  My mom would cook on a weekly basis, spaghetti and meatballs with homemade tomato sauce along with a salad and garlic bread. She could hear my sneak into the kitchen as I'd grab a spoon and dip into the sauce still cooking on the stove top. Then she'd say, "It's not ready yet!"  I would disagree with her and tell her it tasted like it was ready!   haha.

Did you know:

The word spaghetti is plural for the Italian word spaghetto, which is a diminutive of spago, meaning “thin  string” or “twine.”

So, tell us which local restaurant serves up your favorite "spaghetti?"  Let us know here or on our Facebook!
