There are plenty of choices for those looking to ring in the New Year with live music and dancing. But there are also some family-friendly events happening both the day before and New Year's Eve.

Some want to spend New Years with their kiddos and other wants an adult night out. Check out our suggestions for New Year’s Eve events in Evansville:

Party sessions will be hosted from 7-9 p.m. ($25 a person) and 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ($35 a person.) Each session will have bowling and pizza. Call for reservations.

$40 cover will cover all you can eat/drink limited bar and buffet. The event will take place from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. Catch Corduroy Orbison downstairs (free) or the DJ/dance party upstairs.

Happy Noon Year's Eve Party at cMoe (Dec. 30) (Directions)

Featuring a dance party, special crafts, popcorn and special appearances. There will be a "ball drop" at noon with noise to ring in the New Year. The museum is open normal hours with normal admission.

Thunderbolts Hockey at The Ford Center (Directions)

Hockey game starts at 7:15 p.m. Fireworks display following the game.

Countdown to noon under glow lights. The event will start at 10 a.m. The event is restricted to children walking up to age five. Tickets are $12. GLOW toddler shirt and SkySocks are included.

Battle of the Colors at Skate World (Directions)

From 7 p.m. - 2 a.m. Games every hour. Balloon drop at midnight. Tickets are $25 at the door. (Presale $20.)

Tailgate Revival and Tastes Like Chicken at Piston's (Directions)

The event starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20. In addition to the indoor venue, Piston's will have a heated outdoor event with a full bar. Buffet with smoked meats and finger foods will be served. Call for reservations.

Kentucky hip-hop artist Don Fetti will perform. 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. Call for reservations.

Nashville's Rusty Tabor will perform from 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. All you can eat/drink food and draft beer for $35. Other drink specials are available for an additional cost.

Blues Other Brothers And Pink Cadillac At Tropicana (Directions)

In addition to music they'll have breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets throughout the day and night and free party favors while they last. Music is from 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Play games all night long. (5 p.m. - 5 a.m.) Players can also bring in their own consoles and PC games. Must be 17 or older to attend. Door fee is $15. Pizza and $2 worth of drink credits are included in the door fee.

The Jimmies at the American Legion Post #5 (Directions)

Open to the public.

138, Sausage Slam, Transylvania Hell Sounds and Gator Breath will perform from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Angel Rhodes at the Tennyson American Legion (Directions)

Open to the public. Performance starts at 9 p.m.

DJ Tight Mike and DJ Flex to perform. Tickets are $25. Admission includes complimentary glass of champagne at midnight and complimentary party favors. VIP packages are available.

Performance starts at 10 p.m.

Celebrate New Year's Eve a little early at their Noon Year's Eve party. Make noisemakers, party hats and glasses before the countdown and enjoy a balloon drop and a sparkling juice toast and finish off with a dance party.

Montourage performance starts at 9 p.m. Champagne toast, party favors and a breakfast buffet starting at midnight included in an $8 cover charge. Reservations are recommended.

Southern Indiana cover band Retro Shock will perform from 8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $25 per couple. Snacks will be provided throughout the night.

Service is from 7-8 p.m.

The show begins at 9 p.m.

Doors open at 7 p.m., dancing begins at 8 p.m. Deejay’s Rick Rideout and Scott Key will be providing the music. The cost is $60 per couple or $30 per person.

The night is $20 general admission and $25 for VIP reserved seating. There will be a balloon drop.
