My friend, April, was just driving down the road yesterday, when her back windshield shattered!

How in the world did this happen?! Evidently, you have to let your windshield heat up gradually. Blasting heat to defrost it, can cause it to shatter. It's kind of like dropping an ice cube into a hot glass of water, the ice explodes. That's what can happen to your windshield! It's a good idea to just warm up your car for a bit, before turning the defrost on high.
