Vectren Closing Part of State Route 662 for Tree Removal in Newburgh

This Wednesday and Thursday a section of State Route 662 near Casey's General Store will be closed down for tree removal, according to Vectren.  

Drivers taking this road in or out of the town of Newburgh will be rerouted to Frame Road to Willow Pond to Ellerbusch Road and visa versa.  Tree removal will take place from 9 am - 3 pm both days, May 30th and May 31st.

The trees create a scenic canopy in this area, but, Vectren feels the trees could cause some power interruptions as they're growing too close to the power lines.

Please allow extra time for travel in this area due to the detour route.
