I love the city of Louisville (no matter how you pronounce it!) that keeps me visitng over and over again. Last weekend, my husband and I stayed at the Galt House celebrating our wedding anniversary and we discovered a bar inside that was kinda' fishy.

Al J's at the Conservatory is one of the coolest bars I've ever seen. You have to see it to believe it. When you sit down at the bar, the counter is actually a 30 foot-long aquarium that is home to tropical fish and a couple of small sharks!  So, you can sit there and enjoy watching the fish through the glass aquarium while you're sipping a glass of wine, or drinking your favorite beverage!

Unfortunately, Mike and I didn't get the chance to sit down at the "fish" bar because it was full on Saturday night. So, we got to check it out on Sunday before we left.

If you get a chance to stay at the Galt House, Al J's is located on the 3rd floor of the hotel.  Also, be sure to visit the restaurant on the top of the hotel with its 2 revolving floors overlooking the downtown Louisville area and the Ohio river.  They serve up a delicious Sunday breakfast buffet.
