Before I type another word, let me just say that I think Beyonce is a beautiful, extremely talented singer, dancer, performer. Having said that, the crap she pulled at the Grammy's on Sunday was absolutely ridiculous. Wasn't it?

I know I'm not completely alone on this. I've spoken to a few guys (literally three) who feel exactly how I do. But are we few in the minority? I've seen a lot on social media today praising Beyonce and her performance. Frankly, I just don't get it. And at the same time, I understand that I'm probably not supposed to get it. I'm not necessarily her "target audience," but I am a big fan of music and live performances. Her performance felt pretentious and way over the top.

I've seen Beyonce perform in the past and I've always been impressed by what she does, but I think she's maybe starting to believe some of her own hype. Sorry Beyonce, you are not a queen. You are not royalty and you are not a deity. You are an incredibly blessed and gifted entertainer. And you might be an amazing person, but what I saw at the Grammy's looked like someone who needs a big dose of humility. Unfortunately, a ton of fans and many of her peers keep feeding the beast and perpetuating this notion that she is more important than she really is.

Even though I'm singling out Beyonce here, she's not the first or last artist to rub me the wrong way like this. She just happens to be the most recent.

Again, for the record, I want to reiterate that I don't dislike Beyonce or her music. I did, however, dislike her performance at the Grammy's.

Am I wrong? Let me hear the other side of the discussion...please!
