It's predicted that 50.9 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from their homes this Thanksgiving holiday season between November 22 - 26.

  • Worst Day to Leave:  Wednesday, November 22
  • Worst Day to Return:  Friday, November 24
  • Plan at least one route that avoids popular freeways

Most highway maintenance and construction projects will stop this holiday weekend to increase highway mobility and safety.  More good news:  INDOT has informed contractors to pull back barriers and barricades with increased traffic expected.
