Enjoy a great day out in the sun while helping bump, set, and spiking out drunk driving.

Logan’s Promise, the Evansville-based non-profit dedicated to educating the public on the impact drinking and driving has on family, friends, and the community, is hosting a sand volleyball tournament at Wesselman Park on Saturday, September 23rd to help raise money for their scholarship fund.

Named after Reitz High School student, Logan Brown, who died after the vehicle he was riding in was struck by a drunk driver back in March of 2015, the Logan Allen Brown Scholarship is awarded to a college-bound high school student in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, or Henderson County (Kentucky) that demonstrates “academic achievement,” and expresses “interest in fighting against Drinking and Driving.”

Registration for the tournament is $25 per person and will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the day of the event. Teams of six or four will be accepted for both competitive and recreational play. All teams must include at least two female players.

For more information on the tournament, visit Logan’s Promise on Facebook.
