Apples are one of my daily addictions.  I've gotta have one every day!  I like to grab one in the morning before I head to work.  They're also great to eat in the car, at work, at the hair salon (which I do at times, lol) or anywhere!  The good thing is there's plenty of apples available during peak season.

Peak season for apples is September through November. Whatever your favorite variety may be, they're plentiful and they're so good for you, too!

  •   They help stabilize blood sugar and boosts good cholesterol.
  •   Apples work as an appetite suppressant
  •   They contain flavonoids that are cancer-fighting antioxidants.
  •   They contain vitamins A & C.

Remember your local farmer's markets are another place to purchase local apples too!

Downtown Evansville Farmer's Market is open through September 29th and Historic Newburgh Farmer's Market is open through September 30th.
