The Pro Bowl rosters were announced on Tuesday, and of the 88 players named, two of them will be wearing the Colts blue horseshoe on the side of their helmets during the January 29th game.

Despite an up-and-down season that will likely see them miss the playoffs for the second straight year, punter Pat McAfee and number one wide receiver T.Y. Hilton were selected to represent the team in Orlando, the site of this year's Pro Bowl festivities.

Surprisingly absent from the list (in my opinion anyway), is quarterback Andrew Luck. Despite the teams record, and his absence from the game on Thanksgiving night against Pittsburgh due to not being cleared from concussion protocol in time, Luck is enjoying one of his better season since being selected by the team with the first overall pick in 2012.

Through 13 games, he's enjoying the highest completion percentage of his career (63.7%) and the highest overall QB rating (97.1). However, when stacked up against other QB's in the league, Luck finds himself in roughly the middle of the pack.

Of course, players on the teams playing in the Super Bowl sit out the Pro Bowl, as do those who are nursing injuries. Some decide not to play despite being healthy enough to do so to avoid injury, which leaves the doors for alternates to step in. As of this writing, Luck, or any other Colt for that matter, are listed as alternates.

McAfee and Hilton on the other hand are a couple of the best at their respective positions. According to Kevin Bowen at Colts.com, McAfee leads the league in punting average (49.1 yards) and third in net punting average (42.8). Opponents drives after a McAfee punt start at just shy of the 27 yard line, good for sixth in the League.

Hilton is on pace to have his best season ever since becoming a Colt. Through the first 14 games, he has 81 catches for 1,248 yards. He needs only two catches to surpass his current career high in receptions, and 97 yards to top his current best of 1,345. Both of which were set during the 2014 season.
