Indiana State Police Public Information Officer, Todd Ringle, posted a tweet on Sunday warning residents of the resurgence of a phone scam targeting the elderly.

Ringle, who has certainly upped his emoji game recently, shared the following information regarding the scam.

For those having trouble deciphering the tweet, allow me to attempt a translation:

"Scam continues to target the elderly. Relative (?) calls elderly & says he's in jail. Needs money. Relative will ask elderly to send money. Ask hard questions...call relative's parents. Don't send money!"

If you or someone you know has been targeted by this or any scam, contact the ISP at 812-867-2079.
