The defending Frontier League champions, our own Evansville Otters, begin their quest for a return trip to the championship series on Friday, May 12th, and they're looking for a few good hype people to keep the home crowds entertained between innings.

If you've ever been to an Evansville Otters game at Bosse Field, you know the team does a great job keeping the fans engaged in between innings with fun games, giveaways, and other activities with the help of the Otterbelles as well as both Evan and Eva the Otters.

But what would an Otters game be without those people? Sure, there would still be a baseball game to watch which is the main reason you and the family are there, but something clearly would be missing. That's where you could come in!

The team will be holding Otterbelle and mascot tryouts at Bosse Field on Wednesday, April 19th, and Thursday, April 20th beginning at 5:30 p.m. both evenings. According to a press release from the team, those interested in trying out should wear "attire consisting of tennis shoes, shorts or leggings and a t-shirt." Basically, something comfortable you can move around freely in since you'll be learning a one-minute dance routine you'll perform as part of the tryout.

For more information, or to ask any questions, contact the Otters at 812-760-8610.
