At this month's Traveling City Hall, which is tonight by the way, members of the Evansville Police Department will demonstrate an amazing new to clean up graffiti around town. Come see the new soda blaster in action!

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Potter’s Wheel, 333 Jefferson Ave. Refreshments will be provided by the Kool-Aid with a Cop program.

The Evansville Police Department Crime Prevention Unit obtained a soda blaster last fall. The equipment resembles a pressure washer. It has been used to blast graffiti – some more than 20 years old – from buildings and garages with a safe baking soda compound. City residents interested in having graffiti removed from their property are encouraged to attend the demonstration.

The Traveling City Hall meeting will begin at the Potter’s Wheel. Following introductions and brief announcements, those attending the meeting will walk to a nearby garage in the 300 block of Washington Ave. where Crime Prevention Officer Nick Sandullo will conduct the graffiti removal demonstration. Following the demonstration, the group will return to the Potter’s Wheel for Kool-Aid with a Cop. City Department heads will be available to talk to residents one-on-one about any issue involving local government.

Next Month's Traveling City Hall

A representative of CLEAResults, a national energy efficiency services provider, will be present to answer questions and sign-up residents for a home assessment.
