After multiple reports last week saying the two sides had reached an agreement, the Miami Marlins formally introduced Evansville native, Don Mattingly as their new skipper during a press conference Monday morning.

Since this is 2015, nothing is ever official until it's announced on Twitter:

Multiple outlets reported last week the two sides had come to an agreement, however neither the Marlins, nor Mattingly would confirm the reports to avoid taking the spotlight away from the World Series.

While terms of the deal haven't been released, what is known is that it's a four-year deal. Although it sounds like Mattingly plans on sticking around past the initial terms.

"Donnie Baseball" takes over a club the complete opposite of the one he left behind in Los Angeles after he and the Dodgers mutually agreed it was in the best interest of both parties if they went their separate ways.

In Los Angeles, Mattingly was saddled with the highest payroll in baseball and the high expectations that came along with it. In Miami, he finds himself on the complete opposite end of the spectrum as the Marlins have baseball's lowest payroll at $64.9 million.

However, that doesn't mean Mattingly has lowered his expectations:
