It was just like I had pictured it in my mind.  The weather in London was mostly cloudy and cold.  The traffic was crazy with roundabouts and double red buses everywhere!  I was finally in England to witness what would be a beautiful wedding ceremony with my son, Eric and my daughter-in-law, Hayley.

Since our kids had been "officially" married in the U.S. a year ago by a Justice of the Peace, this was a proper ceremony for Hayley and her side of the family.  Hayley's mom, Kim and I conducted the ceremony which lasted about 25 minutes through tears and smiles and lots of love. Eric wore one American sock and one British sock!  Hayley looked stunning in her gorgeous wedding gown.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Colwick Hall Hotel, a Palladian style Georgian country house mansion dating back to the Saxon times and once the home of Lord Byron.  That was a very, very long time ago.  Magnificent and jaw-dropping are words that come to my mind just how beautiful this place was. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the same venue.  The day was full of fun, laughter, love, dancing, and meeting my new family from Nottingham, England.  Life is good.  Check out this slideshow of the wedding!  [Photos]
