Project Reveal presents the screening of the global documentary EMBRACE on April 6th at 7:30 p.m.

When Body Image Activist Taryn Brumfitt posted an unconventional before-and-after photo in 2013, it was seen by more than 100 million people worldwide and sparked an international media frenzy.

EMBRACE follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.

The Body Image Movement (BIM) is an internationally recognized crusade that was founded on the belief that your body is not an ornament, it’s the vehicle to your dreams. BIM believes that everyone has the right to love and embrace their body, regardless of shape, size, ethnicity or ability.

Please note: There is a sequence in the film that discusses the fact that women rarely ever see another woman’s vulva, often leading many women to turn to cosmetic surgery to ‘fix’ what they perceive to be an unsightly part of their bodies. This is followed by a section of images in the film that show a range of women’s vulvas, all of which are different and all of which are normal and healthy.

Tickets: $11 plus $1.50 processing fee
