5 Songs Prince Wrote for Other Artists

Last night on American Idol, the contestants took on the songs of Prince. Catie Turner performed "Manic Monday", and up until last night, I had no idea that he had written that one. Here are a few others that he wrote:

1. Love Thy Will Be Done - Martika

Prince actually wrote 4 of the songs on Martika's second album.

2. If I Was Your Girlfriend - TLC

Prince originally recorded this one, it's on his Sign of the Times album. It was a hit for him in the UK, but not so much in America.

3. How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore - Alicia Keys

This was on the "B" side of 1999. Alicia recorded her version in 2001.

4. Round and Round - Tevin Campbell

Tevin Campbell was the first child-star that Prince worked with. Tevin was only 13 when he recorded this one!

5. Manic Monday - The Bangles
